2. Hosting and server logs
When you visit this website, the server automatically processes technical access data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested URL, and the user agent. This processing is necessary to provide and secure the operation of the website (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hosting provider: Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany (server location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany). Processing takes place exclusively on servers in Germany.
3. Contact form and contact API
If you use the contact form or the open /api/contact endpoint, I process the data you provide (name, email address, message) solely to handle and respond to your inquiry (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general inquiries).
To deliver the message by email, I use Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a data processor. Personal data may be transferred to the USA in the process; the transfer is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses.
To protect against abuse (spam, automated bulk requests), the sender's IP address is processed in the server's memory for a maximum of 15 minutes and is not stored permanently (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The submitted data remains in my email inbox until the purpose of the communication has been fulfilled or you request deletion.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use any tracking or analytics cookies. Only technically necessary storage is used (§ 25(2) of the German TDDDG):

Neither entry contains personal data, and neither is shared with third parties.
5. No analytics or advertising services
This website does not embed any analytics, tracking, or advertising services and does not load content from third-party servers (e.g., external fonts or CDNs).
6. Your rights
With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g., the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Ansbach.
